Heidi Klum born Bergisch Gladbach Germany 1st June 1973. Erna Klum was her mother. The father of Heidi Gunther Klum worked as a company's executive in the field of cosmetics. Heidi's father was previously an executive producer at 4711, a perfume company. Heidi grew at Bergisch Gladbach which is a town of 100,000 just six miles to the east of Cologne. Heidi Klum is a former model from Germany and America who performs as a host on TV, producer and fashion designer. Klum started her modeling career in 1992 while working as a discotheque barmaid. Karin was a young 18 year old student, convinced her to join an German Talent Show called Model 92. Klum was up against 25,000 contestants from Germany and Europe prior to being one of the three semifinalists. Then, in April 1992, Klum won a Top Model prize of $300,000.
