Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic artist, performer and composer. He combines jazz from the soul genre with R&B for a distinctive mixture. From Broadway to European clubs and festivals, the singer has done work all over the world. The real name of Sunshine is Denise White. She is originally from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her career in music by playing the piano and singing in the church. She was a student at Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her journey into music within Atlanta's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was called Stalk You A house 12 released exclusively in Japan It has since been remixed by numerous producers and is the mainstay of her live set. Her voice also appeared on the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, she was the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her singing she asked Sunshine to be part of the Dreamgirls show during the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine came to national attention during four daily shows at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at the Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
